The Curso de Interpretação para Teatro (CIT) at Sesc Santo Amaro is a professionalizing course of significant importance in Recife and the metropolitan region of Pernambuco. The course spans two years, totaling 1200 hours of instruction, and has been training actors and actresses for years, preparing them for both the theoretical and practical aspects of the profession. The CIT aims to integrate its students into the cultural economy. The teaching staff includes a diverse group of professionals, with Anderson Damião serving as the Pedagogical Coordinator and Ailma Andrade as the Supervisor.
